My Study Break Station Special Video

My friend Isabelle started a student-run website called Study Break Station. It's a place for listening, communicating and extending ourselves from our desk to our global community. Isabelle asked me to kick off her "specials" segment, which are short clips made by students about their passions.

Surprise surprise..... I made a video about blogging! Check it out :)

Monochrome

outfit- Forever 21 // leggings- American Apparell
Happy Saturday! Last night I did some shopping at Forever 21 and bought a bunch of basics, and I'm in lovee!! I love the drapey, loose and unfitted look this outfit has, yet you see my body actually does have some shape under the dress between the slits with the leggings. I think, you know, with my psychic powers, I'm looking into the future, and I have a feeling this sweater will be my new favorite "go-to" "wear-all-the-time" sweater.

And these shoes?! Oh these shoes, I'm obsessed.
Tonight I'm seeing Ingrid Michaelson in concert with the whole squad for Ally's birthday!! OMGOMG! I cannot wait, counting down the seconds!
What are your weekend plans? xo

Savannah Photo Diary

HelloOoOoOoO friends!
This time last week my dad and I were exploring SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) and traipsing around Savannah, Georgia enjoying the beautiful South. We also went to Atlanta the day before -- it was really, really fun, but Savannah seems like a much better fit for me. Especially when thinking about COLLEGE! Ahh!!! Here are my favorite shots from Savannah :) enjoy!

RESORT

shirt- Brooks Brothers // bottoms- American Apparel // top- Target (similar) // sunglasses- Forever 21

As the Snapchat geofilter would say, "Greetings from the beaches of North Carolina!!!"

Two years ago, my good friend Sunni got me these high-waisted bikini bottoms for my birthday, and even though my birthday is in January, she knew I'd absolutely love them! Honestly, what is better than high-waisted anything? They are flattering, timeless and classic every time. I really love these photos! Thanks to my dad for having a white button down handy -- it completes the look :)

We arrived at the beach yesterday afternoon and I am SOOO happy to be here! I've been planning beach outfits and outings for what feels like months! It's seriously been so long since we've had a family beach trip and now we're here... how perfect!! :))

Be sure to check my instagram throughout the week, more beach pics there :) xo

Slouch

jacket - Calvin Klein // jeans - Goodwill (IZod) // shirt - Forever 21 // shoes - ShoeMint

Hello!.......
Here's to finally trying out the infamous "boyfriend jean." I actually totally changed these from when I first purchased them from Goodwill. They originally were folded in about a five inch fold capri style, with no distressing. But with a little help from stitch cutters, a good pair of bedazzled scissors and a razor blade, fashion magic happened. I am so pleased with out they turned out.

What are your thoughts on boyfriend jeans, and in addition to that, pairing jeans with a jean jacket?
I love a joutfit! (jean-outfit).  See you soon!...... xo

DIY // MAGAZINE TAPE TRANSFER!

Hey everyone!.....
I know, It's been absolutely forever since I've done a DIY post... and I love them so much! But let's be real here for a moment, DIYs can actually be pretty expensive and take up a lot of time. That is why I LOVE easy/cheap DIYs that make equally as fun and pretty things!

On that note, today I am sharing with you how to do a packing tape transfer using only, magazines, water, and packing tape!!
I know right, really it's that easy...

First you are going to want to go through some magazines and find what ever patterns or pictures pop out to you, what do you love?! For me I picked a lot of pink and floral patterns, because it brightens anything and everything up!

So, tear out those pages from the magazine and tape the packing tape on top of the page, literally, just tape the page.... and then rip the paper around it so it is just the tape on the photo. It should look like the photo above.

Then, place the pieces of tape and magazine into a cup of water.
Let it sit in there for about five minutes, set a timer.

After the tape has soaked for five minutes pull it out of the water. Some tapes are different, but on most of them, the back of the paper will start to peel off. If it doesn't peel off right away dont fret! Just use your fingers to rub away the back of the tape where the magazine paper was. Left on the tape will be the image you taped the tape to. (does that make sense? I feel like I've said "tape" a hundred times now...)

**Note: When you are originally taping the tape to the magazine, air bubbles will result in no image. Personally I think it looks kinda cool in some places, but just a warning.

And there you have it!....
I taped mine to my bathroom window because I love the way these look when light is shining through them... Where will you tape yours? Happy crafting :) xoxolivia.

Modeling For Free People

Back in October, Free People contacted me and asked if I wanted to model for them!! At first, I thought, "No..... This can't be true, this must be some kind of joke." But after emailing back and forth and back and forth I knew I would be crazy to pass up an opportunity like this. And finally I'm here to share a few pictures they used on their website.
Thank you FP! <3
